Anne Stephens’ wristwarmers are knitted in fine fibres primarily of kid mohair with polyamide for strength. Some include beads knitted into the medieval pattern and some have a lacy pattern.
Originally from London, Anne Stephens now runs a smallholding in the Welsh Marches, concentrating on maintaining biodiversity within our environment. Originally training as a science teacher, her interest in remote people led her into researching jewellery and body decoration of ethnic groups in the Himalayas. Subsequently a fascination with their skills and techniques led her to making her own jewellery and teaching silverwork. She now enjoys finding creative inspiration in other materials, particularly natural fibres and other media, which allows her to delight in the colours and textures of the natural world.
